First Viewing Viewing Date: January 24th Via: Netflix Plot: A gambling addict and ticket scalper living an aimless life reluctantly agrees to coach a Little League team from the Chicago projects as part of a loan agreement. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? It just dropped on Netflix and was in the Top 10, which intrigued me. It stars Keanu Reeves and has a promising IMDb rating, so it seemed like one to watch instead of adding it to my watchlist for eternity.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 23rd Via: Cinema Plot: A pilot transports an Air Marshal accompanying a fugitive to trial. As they cross the Alaskan wilderness, tensions soar and trust is tested, as not everyone on board is who they seem. Rating: 6.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's a new Mel Gibson film, with Mark Wahlberg.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 22nd Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: A film account and presentation of the final concert of The Band in 1976, joined by several special guests. Rating: 8.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's a well-known and acclaimed concert film from Martin Scorsese. When I found it on Prime, it seemed like a good chance to watch it, especially as it leaves the service in a few days.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 21st Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: Mike Locken, who works for a private security firm affiliated with the C.I.A., is betrayed by his partner and left seemingly crippled for life. Rating: 7.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? This one was on my to-watch list after James Caan passed away, especially with Sam Peckinpah at the helm, but I never got around to it. When I found it streaming on Prime, I made it a priority before I forgot about it again.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 21st Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: Following a near-fatal accident, David Chamberlain makes an unprecedented discovery that will not only determine the fate of his family, but of mankind. Rating: 5.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's an Australian sci-fi flick with Bren Foster and a mate of mine, Todd Lasance.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 20th Via: Apple TV Plot: Upon his return to his father's estate, aristocrat Larry Talbot meets a beautiful woman, attends a mystical carnival and uncovers a horrifying curse. Rating: 7.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? After watching the new Leigh Whannell film, it seemed appropriate to finally watch the original classic.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 20th Via: Netflix Plot: Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, and Agnes welcome a new member to the family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad. Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend Valentina, and the family is forced to go on the run. Rating: 5.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? I've seen all the instalments of this franchise so far. I didn't particularly want to pay for this one as they're becoming more and more low-effort, so I pounced when it appeared on Netflix. Review here

Rewatch Viewing Date: January 19th Via: Cinema Plot: A strange black entity from another world bonds with Peter Parker and causes inner turmoil as he contends with new villains, temptations, and revenge. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? I couldn't stop after just seeing the first two Sam Raimi Spidey movies at the cinema... I had to also watch the third film! Review here
