First Viewing Viewing Date: February 3rd Via: iTunes Store Plot: Set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit, it revolves around a man who struggles to make the payments on a heart he has purchased. He must therefore go on the run before said ticker is repossessed. Rating: 6.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? This has been on my watchlist since 2010 and I recently remembered that it existed. I enjoyed action films, especially R-rated action films, so I decided to give it a watch.

First Viewing Viewing Date: February 2nd Via: iTunes Store Plot: When an alcoholic relapses, causing him to lose his wife and his job, he holds a yard sale on his front lawn in an attempt to start over. A new neighbor might be the key to his return to form. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? It was a cheap rental and it looked interesting, to the point that I wondered why it eluded me for all these years.

First Viewing Viewing Date: February 1st Via: Netflix Plot: A Puerto Rican former convict, just released from prison, pledges to stay away from drugs and violence despite the pressure around him and lead on to a better life outside of N.Y.C. Rating: 8.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? Its reputation speaks for itself: Directed by De Palma and with a great cast. It leaves Netflix soon, so I thought it was time to give it a shot.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 31st Via: Netflix Plot: After an ambush, a master assassin heads to Italy where he receives instructions from his handler about a job. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was on my watchlist way back in 2010, but it always eluded me and the reviews were never good enough to compel me to watch it. But it leaves Netflix in a few weeks, so I seized my chance.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 31st Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: A woman who raised herself in the marshes of the Deep South becomes a suspect in the murder of a man with whom she was once involved. Rating: 6.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is another major 2022 release I was curious about. And it just appeared on Prime.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 30th Via: iTunes Store Plot: To work off his tarnished driving record, a hip taxi driver must chauffeur a loser police inspector on the trail of German bank robbers. Rating: 7.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? It was in the 99 cent rentals. I like a good action film and this one was written by Luc Besson, so I went for it.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 28th Via: iTunes Store Plot: A man and his brother on a mission of revenge become trapped in a harrowing occult experiment dating back to the Third Reich. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? For Henry Cavill and Joel Schumacher. This was actually on my watchlist and I stumbled upon it again while perusing Cavill's IMDb page.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 28th Via: iTunes Store Plot: A weathered Lieutenant, his police force, and a local vigilante are all caught up in a dangerous scheme involving a troubled, recently-arrested man who's linked to years of female abductions and murders. Rating: 5.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? For Henry Cavill. It also has some other good actors.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 27th Via: Netflix Plot: When a young girl stows away on the ship of a legendary sea monster hunter, they launch an epic journey into uncharted waters - and make history to boot. Rating: 7.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's an Oscar nominee and it's free on Netflix.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 26th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: A pair of burglars stumble upon a woman being held captive in a home they intended to rob. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? Prime recommended this to me and it piqued my interest: it has David Tennant, was directed by Dean Devlin, and has solid ratings.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 26th Via: Cinema Plot: A fashion model celebrity couple join an eventful cruise for the super-rich. Rating: 7.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? The trailer piqued my interest, and the nominations solidified my need to see it ASAP. I had a day off and there were showings nearby, so I finally saw it.

First Viewing Viewing Date: January 25th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: An assassin is hired to kill a young woman whose parents are also assassinated. However, he finds himself unable to complete the job, and he goes against the powerful people who hired him to protect the girl. Rating: 6.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? I remembered that this movie existed when I watched Transfusion. When I found it on Prime for free, and realised it was directed by Jonathan Mostow, I made it a priority.
