Viewed: Season 7 As painful as it was to endure a short season, Game of Thrones is still as strong as ever, building momentum for the final season which I am now dying to see. The benefit of a shorter season, I suppose, is that there's less filler, meaning that most every scene in each episode truly matters and there's no dead weight. The show still looks spectacular from every angle, flaunting astonishing production values and convincing digital effects to give vivid life to this fantastical world. Acting remains strong, as well, and it was a treat to see Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen meet at long last. Despite the breadth of the story with its various tangents and subplots, Game of Thrones is a riveting watch, especially since those of us who've been watching it for long enough now care about the characters and want to see how it's going to end. This show deserves the hype - it's masterful.
