Edgar Hoover. Rating: 7.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? I just had to check this one out at the cinema.

Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's horror month and it seems right up my alley.

First Viewing Viewing Date: October 18th Via: Disney+ Plot: On Halloween night, Gonzo is challenged to spend one night in The Haunted Mansion where his favourite magician disappeared 100 years prior. Rating: 7.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? I wanted to watch this when it first dropped but didn't get around to it. I finally got to it for this Halloween season.

First Viewing Viewing Date: October 18th Via: Blu-ray Plot: An old Gothic cathedral built over a mass grave develops strange powers that trap a number of people inside with ghosts from a 12th Century massacre seeking to resurrect an ancient demon from the bowels of the Earth. Rating: 6.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? A mate recommended it to me and I blind bought it on Blu-ray a couple of years ago. Halloween season is always a good chance to get through some horror blind buys.

First Viewing Viewing Date: October 17th Via: Blu-ray Plot: Two brothers are entrusted by their uncle to uphold the ritualistic cannibalism of the ancient cult of Sheetar. In order to do so, they have to prepare a feast of sacrifice for the resurrection of their goddess. Rating: 6.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? I blind bought this for the title and cover at the height of horror fever last year. So I watched it this year.

First Viewing Viewing Date: October 16th Via: Blu-ray Plot: The Earth is invaded by stingray-shaped alien "slugs" that ride on people's backs and control their minds. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? I've owned this in a double pack with Deep Rising for years but never thought to watch it. After watching the Puppet Master movies, I was reminded that it exists. The ratings looked promising and it seemed like a good pick for horror month.

First Viewing Viewing Date: October 15th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: A dysfunctional family of three stop by a mansion during a storm -- father, stepmother, and child. The child discovers that the elderly owners are magical toy makers and have a haunted collection of dolls. Rating: 6.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? It seemed like a good option after I watched the first three Puppet Masters movies - plus, it's a Stuart Gordon/Brian Yuzna horror movie.

First Viewing Viewing Date: October 15th Via: Tubi Plot: An elite anti-Zombie team is assembled by the Government to cope with an ever-growing undead infection and the religious cult zealots who fanatically protect the festering foes. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? The Giraffe recommended this one to me and it's free on Tubi, so I jumped right in. I mean, it's horror month so I'm open to anything!

First Viewing Viewing Date: October 15th Via: Tubi Plot: A puppeteer's ability to bring inanimate objects to life attracts the attention of the Nazis during World War II. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? Just continuing the series, especially since this one was well-received and it's free on Tubi.

Rating: 6.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? The second and third Puppet Master movies seem to have a reasonable reputation, so I decided to keep going, especially as it was free on Tubi.
