First Viewing Viewing Date: May 26th Via: Cinema Plot: Renfield, Dracula's henchman and inmate at the lunatic asylum for decades, longs for a life away from the Count, his various demands, and all of the bloodshed that comes with them. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? The trailers intrigued me, it looked like a lot of fun. I needed to see it as soon as it hit Aussie cinemas.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 24th Via: Netflix Plot: Set in the distant future where both North and South Koreas agree to establish a joint government, which has been in preparation for a duration of 7 years, the plot focuses on political uprisings on opposing sides which grow fierce when a special police unit is formed to stop the chaos. Rating: 5.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? It looked interesting and it was about to leave Netflix.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 23rd Via: Amazon Prime Video (via a VPN) Plot: When an ex-soldier who discovers gold in the Lapland wilderness tries to take the loot into the city, Nazi soldiers led by a brutal SS officer battle him. Rating: 8.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? The hype made this sound like something that was tailor-made for me. I was absolutely all in for this one as soon as it became available.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 22nd Via: iTunes Store Plot: A young divorcee is getting her life back together by moving into an apartment of her own. But she starts receiving mysterious calls from a dangerous person who's calling from the past. Rating: 6.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? It was a cheap rental and I like horror movies, especially if they have promising IMDb ratings.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 21st Via: Stan. Plot: A complete graduating class, consisting of beautiful girls, geeks and promising footballers, assemble at a rich classmate's residence for a party. Interesting developments follow at the get-together. Rating: 6.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is another iconic cult classic that I've always been meaning to watch. It was released on Stan. this week and it seemed perfect for a lazy Sunday.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 21st Via: Binge Plot: After meeting an architect named Newton, con artist Gwen sees an opportunity to move into the empty house that he designed without his knowledge. She begins setting up the house and poses as his new wife. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random find on Binge. It's directed by Frank Oz, it stars Steve Martin and it's from the early 90s, one of my favourite cinematic eras for comedy. I needed to watch it ASAP.

Rating: 7.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is one of those famous, iconic classics that has eluded me for a long time. It was a cheap iTunes rental, which prompted me to finally watch it.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 20th Via: iTunes Store Plot: An ex-CIA agent and his estranged daughter are forced on the run when his employers erase all records of his existence, and mark them both for termination as part of a wide-reaching international conspiracy. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? IMDb recommended this when I rated another movie, and the poster caught my eye. I found that it was a cheap iTunes rental, so I went for it.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 19th Via: iTunes Store Plot: The true story of Homer Hickam, a coal miner's son who was inspired by the first Sputnik launch to take up rocketry against his father's wishes. With his friends from school, Homer begins scientific experimentation to build a rocket of his own. Rating: 8.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? I've been meaning to watch this for years, and I remember seeing ads for this on TV back in the day. It was a cheap rental and it has a high IMDb rating, so it was a good time to watch it.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 15th Via: Binge Plot: A humiliated former marketing executive plots revenge against his former boss, who made billions from the electric car company they had started together. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random find on Binge. It has a good cast and has a promising IMDb rating, plus it's short, sweet and lightweight which is what I needed.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 14th Via: Stan. Plot: A nun prepares to perform an exorcism and comes face to face with a demonic force with mysterious ties to her past. Rating: 5.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? I normally enjoy new horror movies, no matter how mediocre, and this one just appeared on Stan.
