It leaves Netflix soon and I wanted to check it out based on the cast and the premise.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 9th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: One year after a tragic climbing accident, best friends Becky and Hunter find themselves trapped at the top of a 2,000-foot radio tower after a ladder collapse. Rating: 6.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? The reviews have had me interested since it first came out, but I wanted to wait for it to appear on a streaming service. It came to Prime this week and I jumped on it right away.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 7th Via: iTunes Store Plot: Two detectives are assigned to observe an escaped convict's ex-girlfriend every night. However, complications set in when one of the detectives gets involved and falls in love with her. Rating: 7.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? I've been meaning to watch this one for years. After watching The Hard Way, it seemed appropriate to watch another John Badham action film from the 1980s.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 7th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: An action movie star researching a role is allowed to tag along with a hardboiled New York City policeman, who finds him superficial and irritating. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? IMDb recommended this one to me after I watched Blue Thunder, and I was immediately intrigued.

Plot: After a single, career-minded woman is left on her own to give birth to the child of a married man, she finds a new romantic chance in a cab driver. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? It appeared on Stan. and I've been meaning to watch it for years, so I jumped on it straight away.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 6th Via: iTunes Store Plot: A police officer who's recruited to be a test pilot for an experimental police helicopter learns the sinister implications of the new vehicle. Rating: 7.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? It has been on my radar for several years as it's an '80s action film with Roy Scheider. It seemed like a good pick for a Saturday afternoon.

Rating: 6.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? A post on Facebook alerted me to this movie's existence. I like John Candy's comedies and I like comedies of this era, so I jumped on it before it disappeared from my radar.

Rating: 6.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? I've been curious about it since it first came out. I found it on Netflix while perusing and I wanted something short and sweet, so I picked this.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 4th Via: Blu-ray Plot: During the reign of the Vikings, Kainan, a man from a far-off world, crash lands on Earth, bringing with him an alien predator known as the Moorwen. Though both man and monster are seeking revenge for violence committed against them, Kainan leads the alliance to kill the Moorwen by fusing his advanced technology with the Viking's Iron Age weaponry. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? A mate brought it to my attention and I was instantly curious. It's an R-rated action movie with a good cast, and it has an alien fighting Vikings. Sounded too good to pass up.

First Viewing Viewing Date: May 3rd Via: Disney+ Plot: Rebellious teen Jim Hawkins receives a map from a dying pirate, and embarks on an odyssey across the universe to find the legendary Treasure Planet. Rating: 6.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? I watched it with a mate who was keen to show me the movie.
