The wealthy benefactor of the expedition, who wants to obtain a rare diamond from the jungle, mounts a new team to investigate. Rating: 6.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? It was a cheap iTunes buy and I like 1990s movies of this ilk.

Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random watchlist pick. It's a '90s Nic Cage movie directed by Brian De Palma, and it's on D+.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 22nd Via: Disney+ Plot: In the 1990s, an Irish journalist makes herself an enemy of the organized criminal underworld when she begins investigating drugs and publishing articles. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? I remember seeing the press about this one when it came out, and it reappeared on my radar recently when I heard a radio spot on an old Ricky Gervais XFM show recording. It's free on D+, it's a Joel Schumacher film and it has Cate Blanchett. So, it became a priority.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 19th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: A former Vietnam War lieutenant reforms his old team in order to help a revolutionary's sister overthrow a ruthless dictator. Rating: 5.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's an early '90s action movie that was free on Prime.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 18th Via: Netflix Plot: A neurotic hypochondriac who's unlucky in love "hijacks" his best friend's artificial insemination by replacing the donated sperm with his own, but he's too drunk to remember what he did. Seven years later, he meets the child and quickly realises how many similarities the two appear to share. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random pick as I wanted something light and disposable, and free on Netflix.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 16th Via: Netflix Plot: In the lead-up to a prestigious mascot competition, several competitors come together in the hopes of winning the golden fluffy award. Rating: 6.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? After watching Christopher Guest's other faux documentaries, I had to watch this one.

Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes.

Rating: 7.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? I was interested in seeing this one for many years. In fact, I'm pretty sure my parents watched this back when it was first released. It recently reappeared on my radar and it couldn't be viewed anywhere online, so I ordered the Blu-ray and made it a priority.

Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was actually on my "Looking Forward To" list back in 2012, but it somehow eluded me for all of these years. I blind bought the Blu-ray and it arrived this week, so I cleared some time to watch it.

After cleaning up the mess they continue with their lives, shaking off the feeling of being violated. But little do they know the nightmare has just begun. Rating: 4.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's a horror movie with Ryan and Ty Sympkins. I discovered it while looking at Ty's filmography after the new Insidious, and I was curious.

He hires a mysterious martial arts guru who helps transform him into a martial arts expert who can fight off inmates who want to hurt or love him. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random watchlist pick as I was in the mood for a comedy.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 14th Via: iTunes Store Plot: To memorialize a deceased music promoter, several folk bands reunite for a big show at Town Hall. Rating: 7.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? I needed to watch the last Christopher Guest mockumentary from this era.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 13th Via: iTunes Store Plot: An aspiring director and the marginally talented amateur cast of a hokey small-town Missouri musical production go overboard when they learn that someone from Broadway will be in attendance. Rating: 7.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? After watching For Your Consideration, I was intrigued by Christopher Guest's other, comparable filmmaking pursuits. This one has great reviews.
