Plot: The life of a simple bookshop owner in Notting Hill changes forever when he meets the most famous film star in the world, and a relationship blossoms between them. Rating: 7.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is one famous movie which has eluded me for a long, long time, and I'm surprised I haven't watched it. It's due to leave Stan. soon, so I took my opportunity to finally watch it.

When Abby realizes that the fish is under threat, she takes inspiration from her activist mother and takes on poachers to save her friend. Rating: 6.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? I normally enjoy Australian movies and I've been meaning to check this one out. It was a cheap rental, so I jumped in.

First Viewing Viewing Date: June 23rd Via: iTunes Store Plot: Sir Ringo Starr finds himself the human sacrifice target of a cult, and his fellow members of The Beatles must try to protect him from it. Rating: 7.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? It seemed appropriate to watch this after I'd watched A Hard Day's Night.

First Viewing Viewing Date: June 23rd Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: Over two "typical" days in the life of The Beatles, the boys struggle to keep themselves and Sir Paul McCartney's mischievous grandfather in check while preparing for a live TV performance. Rating: 7.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? Tom Hanks recently mentioned this in an interview, saying it's one of his favourites. This spurred me to watch it, especially as this is one of those classics that has eluded me for years and it was free on Prime.

First Viewing Viewing Date: June 21st Via: Netflix Plot: The Robinson family are sent into space to begin colonizing a new planet for humanity, but the ship is sabotaged and they are left searching for a way home. Rating: 6.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is another '90s film I've been curious about for years, and I can remember seeing the poster at the video store when it was first released on VHS. This leaves Netflix in a few weeks, so I decided it was time to watch it.

Plot: A wild stallion is captured by humans and slowly loses the will to resist training, yet, throughout his struggles for freedom, the stallion refuses to let go of the hope of one day returning home to his herd. Rating: 7.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? I've been meaning to check this one out for years - I can even remember the previews when it first came out over 20 years ago. The positive IMDb rating spurred me into making this one a priority, and I was further spurred on by the short runtime and the fact that it's leaving Stan. soon.

First Viewing Viewing Date: June 19th Via: iTunes Store Plot: A grizzled, alcoholic former baseball player is hired to coach a team of young players, and seeks to turn them into champions. Rating: 7.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? Despite the generally negative reception, I wanted to check out this remake for Billy Bob Thornton and Richard Linklater. Besides, I don't consider the original movie some untouchable masterpiece, and I was open-minded to an update.

First Viewing Viewing Date: June 18th Via: iTunes Store Plot: When "The Man" tries to derail a black candidate's presidential campaign, Undercover Brother and his fellow secret agents come to the rescue. Rating: 7.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? I've been curious about this one since seeing the cover in the video store many times back in the day. I heard a radio spot from an old recording of the Rocky Gervais show on XFM, and I immediately wanted to give it a watch - after all, I like goofy comedies from this era.

Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? Kevin Smith has spoken about this movie for years which has gotten me interested in watching it. He recently spoke about his idea for a legacy sequel, and I decided to finally watch it.

First Viewing Viewing Date: June 17th Via: iTunes Store Plot: Several women in a small town all give birth to children on the same day, but there's something mysterious and evil about the children which continuously manifests itself as the years pass. Doctors study them, hoping to find answers. Rating: 6.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? After watching Ghosts of Mars, I figured I should watch another John Carpenter movie which has eluded me for a long time.

Rating: 3.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? Look... It's an R-rated giant killer shark movie. I was going to watch this one no matter the reviews.

Upon arrival, the cops find that the post has become a charnel house. Rating: 5.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? I've been meaning to watch this for some time as it's a John Carpenter movie. I've always gotten this film mixed up with Mission to Mars, so after watching that movie, I decided I should watch this one.
