First Viewing Viewing Date: July 12th Via: iTunes Store Plot: Three actors learn that their respective performances in the film "Home for Purim," a drama set in the mid-1940s American South, are generating award-season buzz. Rating: 6.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? I recently found out that Ricky Gervais did this movie in lieu of the third Mission: Impossible, and I was curious to check it out - especially since it's a star-studded Christopher Guest mockumentary.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 8th Via: Blu-ray Plot: Fresh out of prison and desperate to make some easy money to save his house and secure his family's future, Jack agrees to drive a truck from Atlanta to New Jersey. However, the truck is loaded with weapons, and there's another interested party who will stop at nothing to hijack the shipment. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? First Viewing Viewing Date: July 7th Via: Blu-ray Plot: Reclusive vampires reside in a small town where they protect themselves with sunscreen and are working on a blood substitute, allowing them to live in harmony with humans. A human scientist and his family are brought in to help set up the substitute blood plant, but not all of the vampires are happy with the idea. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is an '80s vampire movie with Bruce Campbell that was directed by the same guy who made Waxwork. This was put on my radar last year and I ordered the Blu-ray.
