Rating: 6.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? This came up when I was looking for more '90s action movies. It's also directed by Bill Duke.

First Viewing Viewing Date: August 5th Via: Disney+ Plot: Maverick skydiving instructor Ditch Brodie takes a beautiful woman out for a skydiving lesson, only for her to fall out of the plane and die on impact. However, Ditch suspects that not everything is as it seems, and a larger conspiracy is at play. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is another action pick that has been on my watchlist for some time. I thought that I had seen it already, but I mixed it up with Drop Zone, which also involved skydivers.

Plot: A covert government operative witnesses the murder of Chinese UN ambassador and chases the assassin, but ends up becoming the suspect and is ruthlessly pursued. Rating: 6.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? I have wanted to watch it for years because it's an action movie with Wesley Snipes and Michael Biehn, and it's rated R. Today, it was just a random watchlist pick as I've been working my way through action movies lately.

First Viewing Viewing Date: August 4th Via: Netflix Plot: A young boy who witnessed the suicide of a mafia lawyer hires an attorney to protect him when the District Attorney tries to use him to take down a mob family. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random watchlist pick based on the director and the cast. I've been meaning to watch it for years.

First Viewing Viewing Date: August 3rd Via: Blu-ray Plot: A band of mercenaries led by Captain Curry travel through war-torn Congo across deadly terrain, battling rival armies, to steal $50 million in uncut diamonds. Rating: 7.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is another action film I've had on my watchlist for years; I found out about it when The Expendables was being made. With my current interest in action movies, I needed to give this one a spin!

First Viewing Viewing Date: August 2nd Via: Stan. Plot: From his hospital bed, a writer suffering from a skin disease hallucinates musical numbers and paranoid plots. Rating: 6.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? For Robert Downey Jr. and Mel Gibson. It was also about to leave Stan., so I took my chance to watch it.

First Viewing Viewing Date: August 1st Via: Blu-ray Plot: A beautiful woman witnesses Yakuza men being murdered by an assassin outside San Francisco. The assassin has a reputation for leaving no witnesses, and the woman is presumed to be his next victim. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's a '90s action movie with Mark Dacascos. Also, it was on my action movie watchlist that I need to work through more diligently.

First Viewing Viewing Date: August 1st Via: Blu-ray Plot: After her boyfriend is murdered by the gangsters whose diamonds he stole, a girl is protected by two FBI agents who plan to keep her from sharing the same fate. Rating: 6.1/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's an '80s action movie!

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 31st Via: Blu-ray Plot: In 1967, five young men undergo boot camp training before being shipped out to Vietnam. Once they get there, the experience proves worse than they could have imagined. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? This has been on my list of war movies to watch for many years. The recent Blu-ray release spurred my interest in it again.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 30th Via: iTunes Store Plot: Hoping to alter the events of the past, a 19th century inventor instead travels 800,000 years into the future, where he finds humankind divided into two warring races. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? I remember wanting to see this when it first came out, but it slipped by me for many years. It was a cheap iTunes rental, so I took the opportunity to finally watch it.
