It's an '80s action-comedy with Billy Crystal, and it was directed by Peter Hyams.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 28th Via: Netflix Plot: Two ex-special forces soldiers must escort a group of civilians along Baghdad's "Highway of Death" to the safety of the Green Zone. Rating: 6.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? Jackie Chan and John Cena. Free on Netflix.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 28th Via: Tubi Plot: When a little boy witnesses a mob hit, he is kidnapped by two professional assassins who are hired to drive him back to Texas. Tensions between the two men begin to sizzle as they carry out the assignment. Rating: 6.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is another '80s action movie I've had on my watchlist for some time, and I'm making an effort to watch more of the flicks on that list.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 28th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: Karen O'Connor, a young journalist known for her celebrity profiles, is consumed with discovering the truth behind a long-buried incident that affected the lives and careers of showbiz team Vince Collins and Lanny Morris. Rating: 6.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was on my radar for years, ever since I had a massive crush on Alison Lohman and wanted to see more of her work. But it has eluded me, even staying on my Stan. watchlist for years before being removed from that service. But I found it while browsing on Prime and it was about to leave Prime, so I decided to finally give it a watch.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 27th Via: Netflix Plot: Larry Gigli is assigned by a crime boss to kidnap the brother of a prominent district attorney. A beautiful lesbian assassin known only as Ricki is sent to stay with him to make sure he doesn't mess up the job. Rating: 3.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is one of the most infamously awful movies of all time. I needed to see it, just to say that I have seen it. It leaves Netflix in a few days so the time had arrived.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 26th Via: Tubi Plot: Two U.S. border patrolmen find a buried 20+ year old jeep in the desert with a skeleton, rifle and $800,000. They keep the money. Suddenly, the FBI shows a lot of interest in the car. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? I discovered this after Treat Williams passed away. How could I miss an action film with Treat Williams and Kris Kristofferson about border patrol agents?

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 25th Via: Tubi Plot: A disbarred lawyer chooses to put his name on a manuscript written by a friend who passes away. The book quickly becomes a best-selling smash hit, but it attracts the attention of the police due to the book's startling similarities to real-life deaths. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was on a list of action films I want to see that I've curated for several years. Since it was free on Tubi, and it's directed by Rowdy Herrington, I made it a priority.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 24th Via: Britbox Plot: At the height of World War II, the Germans plot to kidnap Winston Churchill by sending in Nazi soldiers wearing American uniforms. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? A trusted friend recommended this and it leaves Britbox at the end of the month.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 23rd Via: iTunes Store Plot: An expedition to the African Congo ends with the presumed deaths of everyone involved. The wealthy benefactor of the expedition, who wants to obtain a rare diamond from the jungle, mounts a new team to investigate. Rating: 6.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? It was a cheap iTunes buy and I like 1990s movies of this ilk.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 22nd Via: Disney+ Plot: A shady police detective finds himself in the middle of a murder conspiracy at an important boxing match in an Atlantic City casino. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random watchlist pick. It's a '90s Nic Cage movie directed by Brian De Palma, and it's on D+.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 22nd Via: Disney+ Plot: In the 1990s, an Irish journalist makes herself an enemy of the organized criminal underworld when she begins investigating drugs and publishing articles. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? I remember seeing the press about this one when it came out, and it reappeared on my radar recently when I heard a radio spot on an old Ricky Gervais XFM show recording. It's free on D+, it's a Joel Schumacher film and it has Cate Blanchett. So, it became a priority.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 19th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: A former Vietnam War lieutenant reforms his old team in order to help a revolutionary's sister overthrow a ruthless dictator. Rating: 5.9/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's an early '90s action movie that was free on Prime.

First Viewing Viewing Date: July 18th Via: Netflix Plot: A neurotic hypochondriac who's unlucky in love "hijacks" his best friend's artificial insemination by replacing the donated sperm with his own, but he's too drunk to remember what he did. Seven years later, he meets the child and quickly realises how many similarities the two appear to share. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random pick as I wanted something light and disposable, and free on Netflix.
