Her payment is a new car that she desperately needs to earn money. Rating: 6.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? It's an R-rated comedy from Gene Stupnitsky, so I pounced as soon as it appeared on streaming.

He recruits various people whose lives have been torn apart by the drug trade and trains them. Then they all leave for France to track down and destroy the ring. Rating: 5.0/10 Why Did I Watch It? I found this one exists due to the recent Sidney J. Furie Blu-ray box-set. I was curious and sought it out.

First Viewing Viewing Date: August 9th Via: Cinema Plot: As they sail to England, the crew aboard the Demeter begin being killed one-by-one by a malevolent monster that only hunts at night. Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? I won a double pass to a preview screening.

First Viewing Viewing Date: August 8th Via: Netflix Plot: When their closest friend April O'Neil discovers an ancient scepter with magical powers, the turtles must cow-a-bunga their way back to 17th century Japan to rescue her from the evil clutches of Lord Norinaga. Rating: 5.7/10 Why Did I Watch It? Had to finish watching the original trilogy.

Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? With the new movie coming out, it felt right to catch up on the older movies that I've missed.

When they switch bodies, each is forced to adapt to the other's life for one freaky Friday. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is an obvious pop culture blind spot that I've been meaning to address for a long time.

Rating: 6.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? I'm interested in watching the 2003 remake as it's something of a pop culture staple, but I wanted to watch the original first.

Rating: 6.4/10 Why Did I Watch It? This came up when I was looking for more '90s action movies. It's also directed by Bill Duke.

First Viewing Viewing Date: August 5th Via: Disney+ Plot: Maverick skydiving instructor Ditch Brodie takes a beautiful woman out for a skydiving lesson, only for her to fall out of the plane and die on impact. However, Ditch suspects that not everything is as it seems, and a larger conspiracy is at play. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is another action pick that has been on my watchlist for some time. I thought that I had seen it already, but I mixed it up with Drop Zone, which also involved skydivers.

Plot: A covert government operative witnesses the murder of Chinese UN ambassador and chases the assassin, but ends up becoming the suspect and is ruthlessly pursued. Rating: 6.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? I have wanted to watch it for years because it's an action movie with Wesley Snipes and Michael Biehn, and it's rated R. Today, it was just a random watchlist pick as I've been working my way through action movies lately.

Rating: 7.2/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random watchlist pick based on the director and the cast. I've been meaning to watch it for years.
